We recently investigated the difference between Google Checkout Vs. Paypal Merchant services and found out that if you are a webmaster you could enjoy more profits. Paypal also adds on a .30 cent transaction fee compared to the .20 transaction fee added by the new Google competitor.

Does Ebay take Checkout?

They do not approve Checkout at this time but may reconsider once it gains more popularity and "trust". Basically, Ebay is not letting the competitor make sales on their site since they own Paypal.
